Simpsons appoints new apprentice

Simpsons are delighted that Jason Kelly has successfully completed his traineeship at the company and now progresses to an apprenticeship programme.

Simpsons has nurtured many apprentices over the years, with many going on to work for Simpsons for a long period of time. Over the 40 years, the company has been established, training and development have been key with members of staff being employed locally and promoted through the company.

Managing Director Phil Simpson says, “Jason has been fantastic and we’re delighted he will be now undertaking his apprenticeship with us. As a family-owned company we’ve always invested in apprentices and see a bright future for Jason here at Simpsons.”

Jason commented, ” I’ve really enjoyed my time at Simpsons and I can’t wait to start my apprenticeship here. I’m learning so much and love the fact that the apprenticeship scheme here offers experience in so many areas.”

Unlike other schemes, Simpsons offers a full apprenticeship programme where a wide range of skills are taught. Jason won’t be just operating machines but learning the whole joinery process.

Phil continues, “from the very first interview, Jason came across so well. He’s very keen and fitted in so well. We congratulate him and wish him well for the apprenticeship programme and his future at Simpsons.”

Jason was referred to Simpsons by North Lancs Training and marks another successful partnership between the two companies.
